Catalog Permissions not responding through BIPS


I've faced one peculiar problem in OBIEE

logged in OBIEE Presentation services page,
--> Catalog --> Shared Folder, i'm unable to set Permissions to any of the folders. The Permissions link is active but nothing happens when I click on it.

I've tried below steps, but nothing help to fix that above issue
1. removed users folder with .atr file from physical catalog location and restart services
2. tried with GUID referesh
3. Cleaned up user accounts using below command at instanceconfig.xml file

Finally found below work around option to fix that issue.

Via Catalog Manager > Right Click on Shared Folder--> Click on Permissions > Under explicit permissions,  enabled "Apply recursively" check box with replace option as "Remove list"

after that added again required roles @ Under explicit permissions side. then tried at web - BIPS end.
Now, the permissions is working on all the folders, which was not working earlier.
